How to change your blade drive and hinge walkthrough

Tools you'll need:

• Phillip Screwdriver (both No.1 and No.2)
  

How to remove the Hinge and Blade Drive

Step 1:

First, take the hinge screws off using the Phillips No.2 Screwdriver.

Step 2:

Once the hinge is off, remove and keep track of the shim.

Step 3:

Remove the blade drive with the No.1 Phillips screwdriver to unfasten.

How to replace the Blade Drive

Step 4:

Get your new OEM Blade Drive, and stretch out the fins before placing it on your clipper.

Pro tip: Stretching out the fins will loosen them up a bit to prevent them from making loud noises.

How to replace the Hinge

Step 5:

If the latch is still good, just replace the hinge with a new one.

Step 6:

Insert the little pins of the new hinge in the pinholes of the latch to complete.

How to put everything back in place

Step 7:

Take the lock keeper shim and put it back on.

Step 8:

Then put the hinge back in, make sure it’s set there.

Step 9:

put the screws back on.

Step 10:

Get your blade cap - making sure the foam isn’t lost - snap it back in place.

Step 11:

Pop the hinge open and insert your blades.
