When is it time to service your pet dryer?

Here are 2 signs your dryer needs to be serviced:



First Sign Your Dryer Needs Servicing:


When you check the filter, it is clogged up by hair and dander. This results in air not being able to flow through properly.


Also, never use both internal and external filters on your dryer. Only one of them at a time.


My suggestion is to take your filter off every day, blow the excess hair and dander off.


Replace it once a month because even though it may still have foam on it, the pores get bigger on the foam as time goes on and allows more dandered hair to get through.


Filter replacement only costs $7 and it's worth it.

Second Sign Your Dryer Needs Servicing:


Another indication that your dryer needs service is when you see this dust piling up and shooting back in little patterns. 


This means that the seal on here is probably dried and cracked, so it's allowing air to escape through the back when it's black like this. When the dust is black like this, it also means that your brushes are worn out. 


If the dust is black that means it is carbon dust. If it is white then that means it is hair and dander getting through.


Which tells you two things:


  1. Your filter is bad because excess dander is getting through
  2. Your seal is bad because the back pressure is blowing it out the back. And you'll see it when it's white there.
